Data URI
An inline URL scheme that embeds small binary resources (like images) directly into HTML or CSS.
A data URI uses the data: scheme to embed a small resource — most often a Base64-encoded image — directly into a document. Data URIs save a network round-trip for tiny assets but increase the size of the embedding document by ~33% because of Base64 overhead.
