A meta-tag protocol that controls how a URL is represented when shared on social networks.
Open Graph (og:*) is a set of meta tags introduced by Facebook and now respected by most social platforms. og:title, og:description, og:image and og:url control the preview card a URL renders when pasted into a feed or chat. Twitter/X overrides with twitter:* equivalents.
